Selfoss, on the J#246;kuls#225; #225; Fj#246;llum river, is a waterfall in Vatnaj#246;kull National Park in Northeast Iceland.br/br/A few hundred meters downstream of the 11 metre Selfoss waterfall is the Dettifoss - the most powerful waterfall throughout Europe. The river originates as melt water from the glacier Vatnaj#246;kull and therefore the water flow varies depending on the season, the weather and volcanic activity.
