Looking along the coastline from Westies hut.br/br/Westies Hut is certainly unique and a definite highlight for many trampers exploring the Waitutu Forest wilderness. It is located only 2 km before Big River in a sea cave at Prices Harbour, accessed by a narrow trail winding around the cliffs. br/br/The Waitutu Forest in Southland is a beautiful expanse of native lowland forest, stretching from the shoreline of the southern coast up into the mountains of Fiordland. A diverse range of plant and animal species envelop over 500 square km of misty ridges and valleys.
