The common brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula) is a nocturnal, semi-arboreal marsupial native to Australia, and is the largest of the possums. It has large pointed ears, a bushy tail with a prehensile tip which helps it grasp tree branches. br/br/The common brushtail possum thrives on whatever vegetation is available and does well through most parts of Australia and Tasmania.
