All Day Bay 1
Kakanui's main beach, south of the main headland, is known as Campbell's Bay and is approximately two kilometres long. It provides the first surfable break and the first safe swimming beach south of Banks Peninsula. The southern end, known as All Day Bay, offers more shelter than the northern end, but with less surf. This bay is popular for swimmers and surfers and is more commonly accessed from the northern end by the surf club and the recreation reserve. br/br/The small town of Kakanui lies on the coast of Otago, 14 kilometres to the south of Oamaru.
