Mitre Peak & Milford Sound 5
Wet or fine, Milford Sound is incredibly grand. Mitre Peak magnetises photographers, and the fiordÕs sheer cliffs excite both admiration and apprehension.
Established in 1952, Fiordland National Park is a vast, remote wilderness in the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. The power of FiordlandÕs scenery never fails to impress travellers and adventurers; waterfalls tumble hundreds of metres into massive fiords, ancient rainforests cloak the landscape and cling impossibly to sheer mountain faces, and the spectacular sounds, lakes, valleys, saddles and peaks look the same today as they did thousands of years ago.
