Riding along Maunganui Beach
Travelling the long Maunganui Beach checking on Chatham Island oystercatchers residing in the area. The Northern Chatham Island coastline is highly indented with offshore islets and reefs. Larger sandy beaches such as Maunganui Beach are located between the headlands.
The Chatham Islands are an archipelago and New Zealand territory in the Pacific Ocean, over 800 kilometres east of southern New Zealand.
