Nugget Point is one of the most iconic landforms on the Otago coast being located at the northern end of the Catlins coast near Kaka Point.br/br/This steep headland has a lighthouse at its tip and is surrounded by rocky islets collectively known as 'The Nuggets'. Nugget Point is home to a large colony of fur seals and also many seabirds, including penguins, gannets and spoonbills.
